About Therapeutic Oasis
Our Story
Darren and Nikki, married since 2004 and blessed with a beautiful blended family of five children — Darren’s eldest son and daughter from his first marriage, along with three boys we’ve raised together. Today, our family has grown even more, with three wonderful grandchildren who bring us so much joy.
Darren’s journey as a massage therapist began in 2003, when he opened Malibu Massage Therapy in High River. After a devastating flood in 2013, our family made the decision to relocate to Medicine Hat in 2014, where we started fresh and renamed the practice Therapeutic Oasis.
For over 20 years, Darren has been dedicated to helping people heal, restore balance, and improve their quality of life. Together, we’ve built a welcoming space that feels less like a clinic and more like a place of comfort, care, and community.
Darren Stratton RMT, JFBMFR
I have been working as a therapist since 2003, originally trained and registered as a therapeutic massage therapist. Over the years, I recognized that many clients needed a deeper, more lasting approach to healing.
In 2013, I began specializing exclusively in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR). Since then, I have dedicated my practice to helping clients release long-held restrictions in their fascia, restore natural movement, and find relief from chronic pain and trauma.
With over 20 years of therapeutic experience and more than a decade of focused MFR training,
I bring both skill and compassion to every session.
Nikki Stratton
Since our move to Medicine Hat in 2014, Nikki has been the warm and welcoming face running the office. Her cheerful greeting is the first thing clients experience, whether walking through the door or calling in. Nikki creates a calming, family-like atmosphere and is always ready with a big smile—proof that kindness doesn’t need height to stand tall. She is also happy to assist with billing, payments, and any questions, ensuring every visit is smooth and stress-free.
